Dave East Takes Us Down Memory Lane With “Set It Off”

Dave East takes us way back in the past with his latest single “Set It off.”

The new single was inspired by the F. Gary Gray’s cult classic 1996 film Set It Off starring Queen Latifah, Vivica A. Fox, Kimberly Elise, and Jada Pinkett Smith. Dave East links up with producer Buda & Grandz for the beat where he laid down some fiery bars and a catchy hook.

“That 600, I’m maneuverin’ / Mayback comin’ this week (this week) / I need some head ’til I get weak (uh) / Jim Starr at your wind piece (uh) / Black .40 match the Benz seats (ooh) / I might pull up more than 10 deep (more),” East raps.

“Set It Off” is the second single from Dave East over the last couple of days following the release of “Peter Pan” produced by Mr. Authentic. Listen the new single below.
