Birdman Talks Lil Wayne Tupac Comparison, Carter V Dropping This Year

Birdman pretty much said Lil Wayne is greater than Tupac.

The Cash Money honcho has said a lot over the last week as he continues to make the press rounds promoting his brand and his company. It’s unclear if he is dropping some project of the sort aside from his Cash Money documentary, but he is sure giving a lot more press time that he usually does. One of the most telling interviews that he did was with Rap-Up where he opened up about Lil Wayne and Tupac Shakur’s comparison.

Let’s not forget that Lil Wayne currently hates his guts and the haven’t been on speaking terms in over two years. Nevertheless, Birdman claims that the long-awaited album Tha Carter V is coming this year. last year, he made the same claim but it never arrived. “Without a doubt, we’ll get that [Tha Carter V] this year,” he said when asked about when the album is coming. He also added that Lil Wayne has one hundred percent control over the release date.

On the Tupac comparison, this is what he said. “They only have one Wayne and you only have one Tupac. Tupac had 100 songs, before that we never knew of that sh*t. Wayne had 100 features. That sh*t just not normal, that’s just not normal in our business today. A ni**a might not want to hear two features from your azz, let alone 100. Wayne had 100 No. 1s.”
