Migos Says “Culture 2” Will Be The Biggest Rap Album Of 2018

Migos is a week away from dropping their new album Culture 2.

The Atlanta rap trio sat down with Ebro on Beats 1 Radio on Thursday where they opened up about the upcoming album, due on January 26th. In the interview, Migos discussed Cardi B and Nicki Minaj on “MotorSport” and their beef with Joe Budden. Among the best takeaways from the interview was when Migos categorically states that Culture 2 will be the biggest album this year. Whether or not they can prove that only time will tell.

Ebro asked the trio about getting Nicki Minaj and Cardi B on the same song “MotorSport” and why they failed to get them in the same scene in the music video. “We tried to create that moment,” Quavo said. If they had made that happened to it would’ve been a great moment for hip hop to have two of the leading female rappers currently in the same scene. Nevertheless, getting them on the same song is an amazing accomplishment. Migos is nominated for two Grammy’s in the Best Rap Album and Best Rap Performance for “Bad and Boujee.”

Speaking on Joe Budden, the group jokes about putting the rapper turn podcaster back on the map and even making him land a new job with Diddy’s Revolt TV network. “We want to see him win but he don’t want to see us win,” Takeoff said. There was also another moment when Quavo said Takeoff is the best rapper in the Migos group. “When we were all out, going crazy running around, my boy Take was rapping,” Quavo said and Offset agreed. “He the first one to get a gold record.”

Culture 2 release date is set for next week Friday, January 26th. The tracklist for the highly anticipated album is not yet available, hence the guest list is still a secret.
