Popcaan Lands Role In Netflix Film “The Intent” Sequel

Popcaan continues to branch out from music to acting with a role in Netflix movie “The Intent” sequel.

The British crime drama film “The Intent” was premiered in 2016 before it was picked up by Netflix. The movie did well enough for the streaming giant to ordered a sequel which is now in production and set for a summer release this year. Not a lot of details are available about the sequel, but we do know that Popcaan, real name Andre Sutherland, and Jamaican actor Louie ‘Ox’ Rankin, were both given major roles.

Popcaan shared a clip of himself and Rankin signing their contract for the film which is being directed by Femi Oyeniran and Kalvadour Peterson. “Big dreams wey me have thank god me still living it,” the Unruly Boss wrote on Instagram while sharing a photo from the production set in Jamaica.

The Intent is starred by Dylan Duffus who played the character Gunz who became embroiled in a life of crime when he joined the TIC crew lead by a ruthless leader name Hoodz. The gang started out selling weed, but their crime spree quickly evolved to violent robberies which plunge them further into a life of drugs, guns, and women. Things took a bad turn for them when they caught the attention of a rival gang and law enforcement.
