Rvssian is currently working with Vin Diesel for the Fast and Furious 9 soundtrack.
The dancehall producer, whose real name is Tarik Johnson, posted a video clip and a photo of himself and Vin Diesel in Miami on Instagram. Sources confirmed that he is writing music for the next installment in the Fast and Furious franchise which is up for release in 2020.
Rvssian previously worked with the actor on the soundtrack for the blockbuster film xXx: Return of Xander Cage. He has been credited as a writer for the single “In My Foreign” which features Lil Yachty, Ty Dolla $ign, French Montana, and Nicky Jam.
In the clip that Rvssian posted on Instagram, Vin Diesel channels his inner Jamaican by calling the beat maker the top producer in Jamaica. You can watch the cringe-worthy video below.
Rvssian also worked in the past with Diesel on the soundtrack for Fast and Furious 7. He produced a single for reggaeton singer Farruko titled “Passion Wine” which is featured on the soundtrack.
