Drake Brought Out The Weeknd & Cardi B At OVO Fest 2017 [VIDEO]

Drake surprised a massive crowd at Monday night’s 2017 OVO Fest by bringing out The Weeknd and Cardi B.

The 6 God has been having a phenomenal year and last night he showcased his star power in Toronto for the 8th annual OVO Fest. He brought on stage The Weeknd, Cardi B, Migos, Playboi Carti, Travis Scott, French Montana and a few other artists including some of his label mates like PARTYNEXTDOOR, Dvsn, Roy Woods and Majid Jordan. Drizzy also took the opportunity to announce that he is currently working on a new album.

At one point Drake even brought out his one time nemesis Tory Lanez and the two of them did a duet performing “Controlla.” Lanez famously did a remake of Drake’s mega hit single “Controlla” which sparked some criticisms from both Drizzy and his fans. But the two made peace earlier this year and it seems it was pretty serious. Drake has had some big names as a surprise guest on OVO Fest over the years including in 2014 when brought out Lauryn Hill to perform her classic singles “Doo Wop,” “Lost Ones,” “Ready or Not,” and “Draft Day.” The previous year he brought out Kanye West who performed “All of the Lights” and “New Slaves.”

Cardi B is one of the most popping female artists in the game right now only behind Nicki Minaj. She performed her Billboard Hot 100 single “Bodak Yellow” in front one of the biggest crowds she probably ever performed for. Drake even brought out French Montana and Rae Sremmurd to perform their mega hit single “Unforgettable.” Drake has carved out a massive legion of fans in hip hop for himself over the past few years and it’s starting to show in his music sales. Last year he had the top selling album on the planet “Views” and this year he already has one of the biggest opening week’s among top rappers with “More Life.”
