Drake Reacts To Kendrick Lamar’s DAMN. Success

Drake has shared his reaction to the massive success of Kendrick Lamar‘s new album DAMN.

K-Dot’s third major-label project debut at the top of the charts after selling 603,000 equivalent album units in the opening week. In comparison, Drake’s new album More Life sold 505,000 equivalent album units in the first week. This means that Kendrick Lamar currently has the biggest opening week so far this year with Drake being in second place. There are a lot of chatters that the Compton rapper took shots at the Toronto emcee on the number one song “HUMBLE.” But that is not phasing the 6 God because he commented on a post on Instagram about the last week album sales.

“Amazing to see our music moving!!!” Drizzy wrote in the comments. In the last week, Kendrick Lamar’s DAMN. sold 233,301 units to hold the top spot while Drake’s More Life sold 77,959 units to hold onto the second spot. DAMN. is also certified platinum by the Recording Industry of America after surpassing the million mark in sales. Drake also left another comment on the post saying that he want to see himself, J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar on the same song.

In the past, Drake and Kendrick Lamar have collaborated on the single “Poetic Justice” before a brief falling out over a verse K-Dot did on his single “Control” which name dropped Drake and a bunch of other rappers. Drake didn’t feel too good about the verse but seems he is now over it.
