Rihanna and U2 Features On Kendrick Lamar New Album Damn

Kendrick Lamar new album DAMN is coming on Friday and so far we’ve learned that Rihanna and U2 are the only two guest on the project.

DAMN is perhaps one of the most highly anticipated rap albums for 2017 and we already got a taste of what’s to come via the new single “HUMBLE” which debut at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart this week making it the highest rap debut in almost a decade. The last person to do this was Eminem in 2010 when he released “Love The Way You Lie” which featured Rihanna. This makes Kendrick Lamar collaboration with Rihanna all the more interesting.

The Bajan pop star is featured on the single “LOYALTY” which the name itself could send some shots at some people namely Drake. Last month, Twitter erupt when K-Dot dropped “The Heart Part 4″ where some fans tweeted that he is dissing Drake and Big Sean. Rihanna had a bitter split with Drake in the fall last year and the two haven’t been on speaking terms ever since. She also hinted that he might have cheated on her. U2 is featured on the single “XXX” which we suspect will be a sexually explicit track.

Elsewhere on the album, you can expect tracks with titles like “BLOOD,” “DNA,” “LUST,” “LOVE,” and “GOD” which gives you an idea of the general theme of the project. Kendrick Lamar has been widely hailed as one of the true lyricists of our generation in rap music. He will have a lot of competition from Drake who released his highly anticipated new album More Life last month. Drizzy project debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart after selling 505,000 album equivalent units in the first week. The album broke all types of records including the highest first day streaming on Apple Music and Spotify. Can Kendrick Lamar new album DAMN top the success of Drake’s More Life?
