I-Octane Is Self-Producing His Next Dancehall Album

I-Octane is currently working on his third album Love and Life, due later this year.

The dancehall singjay is keeping all the production credits to himself this time around, unlike his previous two projects. He will be producing the album himself and releasing it on his label Conquer the Globe Productions. His previous albums Crying To The Nation was released on VP/Scikron in 2012 and My Journey on Tad’s International released in 2014.

“I want this album to be based on life itself – my life and the lives of others,” I-Octane said. “People can always relate to love and life, so I will be covering all different aspects of both topics.”

Octane says he wants to go fully worldwide with this new production and will be enlisting the help of other seasoned producers in the reggae dancehall space to put the project together. “This is my third official worldwide album and the team came together and say, ‘Octane, now is the time to go worldwide with your own production,” he added. “You have your own studio, so own your own things now and produce some songs for yourself.”

I-Octane says he will be drawing from his years of experience writing his own songs and micromanaging the recording and mixing process.
