Mavado already has summer on his mind with this new island party single “Shatta Girl.”
The track was produced by Armzhouse Records and is featured on DJ Theory’s Tropical Mix. “Take my love on a vaca / Thursday Friday on a payday / She provide the wings let us fly away / She say never shy because everyday a my day / Pull over buss one pon the highway,” Mavado sings over an infectious island beat.
Mavado has had a great year in dancehall last year with his renewed focus on the local music scene. Although his beef with Popcaan was short lived, the singjay scored enough points to cement his place as one of the top acts in dancehall.
