Lil Uzi Vert Likely To Face Jail Time, Hit The Studio With Kanye West For New Music

Lil Uzi Vert is likely to face some jail time for his arrest in Atlanta last weekend. Plus he is working on some new music with Kanye West.

The “You Was Right” rapper and one of his friends were picked up by cops on Tuesday following a high speed chase through traffic. The incident started in a parking lot with both men stunting on dirt bikes. A police officer confirmed in his report that they were both riding without helmets, insurance or registration. Uzi Vert was also riding on a suspended drivers license.

“I could hear the engines revving up as they were in the lot,” the police report states. “They then exited the gas station at a high rate of speed and began to travel southbound on Northside Drive.”

They are both facing multiple charges of obstruction, no registration, wrong way, and operating a motorcycle without insurance. Lil Uzi Vert was released on a $6,500 bond but is likely to face some jail time unless his lawyers can struck a deal to get him off the hook. It’s also likely that he will be going for a long time without a drivers license since its already suspended.

Days after his arrest, Lil Uzi sat down for an interview on DJ Whoo Kid‘s radio show “The Whoolywood Shuffle” where he revealed that he has been working on new music with Kanye West.

“I’ve been working with Kanye,” Lil Uzi said (Via Hotnewhiphop). “He drops gems on you and he don’t even know … Like he’s just talking and he’s dropping gems. He’s very intelligent.”

Kanye West has also been making his own headlines with a not so surprised meeting with Donald Trump in New York City yesterday.
