If Pastor Shirley Caesar win this lawsuit then folks will start to think twice before using someone recording to create another #Challenge viral video.

Caesar is suing the original creator of the #UNameItChallenge video. The video clip went viral around Thanksgiving and was remix by DJ Suede where the gospel singer named a bunch of different food, getting us all pumped just before Thanksgiving Day.

CBS46 reported that Shirley Caesar attorney James Walker filed a lawsuit against DJ Suede for his unauthorized use of the recording which is from a 2010 sermon. There is also an injuction preventing suede from further distributing the video. Walker noted that the viral video which showcase alcohol is in violation of the “brand, image and name of a Christian pastor.”

Shirley Caesar wants $5 million for her troubles and named DJ Suede, Jullian Boothe and Empire Distribution in her lawsuit.

There are several viral videos that features the same recording and the Caesar family reported liked some of the but took issue with the one from DJ Suede which prominently features alcohol. She even appeared on Wendy Williams show to voice her support for the videos and teamed up with Snoop Dogg for a clean version that would benefit charity.
