Drake’s Album “Views” Top 3 Billion Streams On Spotify Alone

Drake continues to dominate the hip hop world topping over 3 billion streams for his album “Views” on Spotify alone.

There is no doubt Drake has been winning this year. As a matter of fact the trend started from last year when he got into a beef with Meek Mill where most fans would tell you that he gave the Philly rhymer a lot of Ls.

Drizzy released “Views” back in April and that album spent 13 weeks at No. 1 on Billboard 200 album chart and six weeks in the top five. The album was originally released exclusively on Apple Music and then making its way over to Spotify. “Views” has now been streamed 3,043,873,801 making it the most streamed album on Spotify.

Drake also now has the most streamed song on Spotify after “One Dance” surpassed Major Lazer’s song “Lean On” with close to a billion streams. Another single off the album, “Hotline Bling”, has also received half a billion streams while another single “Too Good” featuring Rihanna has been streamed some 426 million times.

“Views” is not the only success Drake saw this year, his Summer Sixteen Tour with Future was also hugely successful with sold out arenas across the U.S. and Canada. Drizzy is also going into the American Music Awards with a record 13 nominations.

Drake is also working on his next big project “More Life” set for release next month. The big question is, will he repeat or surpass the success of “Views.” There aren’t much detail surrounding this new album but all the 6 God revealed was that it’s coming in December. There are also reports that he and Kanye West are working on a joint album that could be released some time soon. If you know Drake there are always a lot of secrecy around his projects until the last minute.
