Buju Banton Daughter Jodian Myrie Enters Politics

Buju Banton often did songs hitting out against politicians but now his daughter Jodian Myrie has entered the political arena.

She will be representing the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) for a counselor seat in the upcoming local government election in Jamaica, representing the Hagley Park Division of the St Andrew East Central constituency on November 28. Myrie is a graduate of the University of Technology Jamaica and will be totally new to politics.

Sources are telling us that Buju Banton is in full support of her decision to enter politics. “Buju is in full support of Jodian’s decision and he is very proud of her,” sources told us. “She is a brilliant young lady and has a lot to offer the people of her constituency.”

The Grammy-winning reggae singer is currently serving a 10-year sentence in prison for cocaine trafficking. He is scheduled to be released from prison in late 2018 and then deported back to Jamaica.

At the time of his release his daughter, if win, will be serving as a political leader. What do you think his music will sound like then.
