Spice Says She Wasn’t Brief Before Raunchy Performance In Front PM

Spice is still doing some damage control following her recent controversial performance at an event celebrating Jamaica’s Olympic athletes triumph.

There were several Jamaican dignitaries at the event including Prime Minister Andrew Holness, his wife Juliet Holness, Governor General Patrick Allen. Some of the world’s most famous athletes were also in attendance including Asafa Powell, Usain Bolt, Shelly-Ann Fraser, and more.

Spice performed a raunchy set of her hit single “So Mi Like It” and her performance was not well received. In fact the crowd looked on in dismay as she went through her set. Speaking with Winford Williams of OnStage, she explained that it was all a misunderstanding and that she was not properly briefed before taking the stage.

“I think I wasn’t brief properly,” she said. “In terms of I didn’t know that my songs selection was going to be an issue or a problem. I thought that once I did the edited version and represented dancehall then it would be fine.”

Turns out that it wasn’t fine and Spice did receive some heavy backlash.
