Lil Wayne Blames Retirement On Birdman ‘I Will Never Work With Him Again’

Lil Wayne is opening up for the first time about his recent retirement announcement on Twitter.

Weezy gave his fans a scare last week when he announced on Twitter that he will be hanging up the mic because he is mentally defeated in reference to his fight with Birdman. During his appearance on FS1 show “Undisputed,” Wayne offered up some clarity on why he sent out the tweet.

“I was at my tipping point [because of] an argument,” the New Orleans rapper told hosts Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe. “This is business. Once business is involved, I have a family, I have kids, I have a mother, and we’ve got bills. This is business so once the business is right, then everything is right.”

What was also no surprise was when Lil Wayne made it clear that he will never work with his former mentor Birdman. “Give me mine and I’ll walk off free, smiling,” he said.

Lil Wayne also echoed some similar sentiments like what some of his fans have been saying when it comes to his retirement saying that he is not really retiring.

“I AM NOW DEFENSELESS AND mentally DEFEATED & I leave gracefully and thankful I luh my fanz but I’m dun,” Lil Wayne tweeted last week. “Ain’t lookin for sympathy, just serenity.”

Since making those remarks on Twitter, Weezy has been getting a lot of support from fellow rappers including his own protege Drake, as well as, former rivals Young Thug and Rich Homie Quan. The Young Money rapper’s fans have also came out in huge numbers on social media showing him a lot of support.

Lil Wayne is still suing Birdman and Cash Money for $51 million. His album Tha Carter V has still not been released.
