Safaree Samuels Talks Love & Hip Hop and Nicki Minaj

Two years after his split with Nicki Minaj, Safaree Samuels now joins Love and Hip Hop Hollywood.

It’s unclear what his storyline will be on the show but a few months back he was spotted on a date with fellow LHH cast member Nikki Mudarris. During a recent interview with Billboard, Safaree aka Scaff Beezy opened up about joining the scripted reality show.

“It’s a great platform when you use it the right way,” Safaree said. “I’m not gonna be on TV, arguing — none of that craziness. There’s some people who are on it and they don’t have an end goal. When this is said and done, I’m going to capitalize on it. I wanna push myself as a brand — modeling, acting, fitness, clothing. I have a coconut oil that’s made and produced in India. I’m waiting for the show to really start pushing that. Millions of people watch it a week, so why not? I really don’t regret the experience, so that’s definitely not something that I would be opposed to.”

Safaree recent made an appearance on Reggae Sumfest in Jamaica performing his new single “Bad Tings.” During his Billboard interview he also opened up about his new music as well as Nicki Minaj.

“We don’t have any relationship,” he said about his ex-girlfriend. “We don’t speak. No lawsuits either. That whole court thing got blown out of proportion because people wanted to react. But if there was a court situation, you guys would’ve saw it. There’s no hiding.”

Although he identifies as a rapper, these days Safaree’s music now has a more dancehall sound taking him back to his Jamaican roots. His father known in Pondside as Preacha one owned a popular sound system name Love Injection and during his recent trip to Jamrock, Safaree visited his old home.
