Funkmaster Flex Went HAM on Drake ‘You Don’t Write Raps’

A few days after Drake took a direct shot at Hot 97 DJ Funkmaster Flex calling for the radio station to give him the boot.

Drizzy sound off on Flex earlier this during a Freestyle on stage at his Madison Square Gardens concert for his Summer Sixteen Tour stop in New York. Flex immediately jumped on Twitter and announced that he has some scoop that will ruin Drake’s career coming on his radio program this weekend. Well he did brought some scoop but Drake still has his career.

“I got a few stories to tell tonight,” Funkmaster Flex started out saying. “I don’t know which one I’m gonna tell first. First of all, Drake, I’m not really worried about you making me lose my job,” Flex said. “70% of your fans wear high heels. The other 30% are guys who wear sandals. I’m not concerned about you.”

Funkmaster Flex then went into some stuffs about Drake and Meek Mill beef and what really started it. The argument comes back around to whether or not Drake write his own rap lyrics or use a ghost writer. You can recalled that was the focal point of Drizzy and Meek feud. Seems the whole feud started from a verse that Drake did for Meek Mill on his “R.I.C.O.” where Meek people felt like Drizzy was taking a subliminal shot at him. Seems Meek Mill confronted Drake about the mild diss and the Young Money emcee folded and revealed that he didn’t write the verse. Meek then jump on Twitter to exposed Drizzy and that turned out to be a bad idea because the world watched as the whole thing blew up in his face as Drake drop diss tracks after diss tracks.

The radio DJ also took shots at Drake for his fight with Diddy last year. Listen to the full radio show.

Funkmaster Flex then switch over to a 2009 freestyle that Drake did back at Hot 97 where he claimed that the Views rapper rehearsed the lines on his Blackberry. Yes that was half a decade ago when Drizzy was still a relative newcomer to rap. “That freestyle, we rehearsed it first in this room. He had the BlackBerry out, Flex said. “I had no idea he was gonna leave the Blackberry out.”

Funk Flex says that Drake asked Hit 97 to release the video on YouTube which they then circulated as proof that he write his own raps. “They help circulate the video. I’m wondering, why would they put that out? You told Zane Lowe you didn’t know the video was coming out. You calling a lot of people liars. Okay. Video comes out, everybody jokes on him on it, but everyone says, ‘Yo, but he got bars.’ … You wanted people to think that you write your bars. You wanted people to think on that BlackBerry, those were yours, that you wrote that.
