Troy Ave Indicted For Deadly Shooting At T.I.’s Concert

Troy Ave was indicted yesterday for attempted murder and other charges stemming from the deadly shooting last month at T.I.’s concert at Irving Plaza in New York City.

The case file was reviewed by a grand jury who found that there is enough evidence to prosecute the Brooklyn rapper. Assistant District Attorney Christine Keenan has already filed the certificate with the court.

The day after the deadly shooting, NYPD released video footage showing the rapper firing a shot inside a crowded room backstage the concert. Three people were shot during the incident including Troy Ave, who was shot in his leg, another female was injured and his bodyguard was shot and killed.

Ave, whose real name is Ronald Collins, has maintained his innocence saying that he fired the gun in self defense.

The shooting took place before T.I. took the stage. The concert ended prematurely as concert goers stamped out of the venue.

Police also reported that they found three guns inside a minivan that took Troy Ave to the hospital that night. One of the guns has been identified as the gun used to shoot his bodyguard, Ronald “Banga” McPhatter.

The case will be tried in the Manhattan Supreme Court where Bobby Shmurda is also awaiting his trial for drugs and weapons charges.
