Kendrick Lamar Leads Grammy With Five Awards, Plus Powerful Performance

Kendrick Lamar went into the 58th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony with 11 nominations so it was no surprised when he walked away Sunday night’s biggest winner with five Grammys.

Although he lost the covetous Album of the Year title to Taylor Swift, Kendrick Lamar did won Best Rap Album for To Pimp A Butterfly, Best Rap Song for “Alright”, Best Music Video for his role in Taylor Swift “Bad Blood,” Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for “These Walls” featuring Bilal, Anna Wise & Thundercat, and Best Rap Performance for “Alright.”

Kendrick Lamar’s performance at the Grammys was also the most talked about with fans and celebrities alike calling it powerful and controversial.

What a way to kick start the year by winning five Grammys. Kendrick Lamar has had a phenomenal year last year.

Other big winners on Grammy night includes Taylor Swift who took home three trophies including Album of the Year for her 1989 album.

Ed Sheeran won two Grammys for Song of the Year for “Thinking Out Loud” and Best Pop Solo Performance for the same single.

Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars also won two Grammys for their mega hit single “Uptown Funk” including Record of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
