Adele is perhaps the only artist on the planet selling over a million unit of her music currently.
The British songstress just released her first single in three years “Hello.” The song debut at No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100 after selling 1.11 million copies in the first week of release.
The track dethroned The Weeknd’s “The Hills” for the top spot after spending six weeks. The single also break the all time record for most download record in one week. The record was previously held by Flo Rida after his 2009 single “Right Round” saw 636,000 downloads in one week.
“Hello” is the first single off Adele’s new album 25, due on November 20.
Elsewhere on the Hot 100 chart, Justin Bieber new single “Sorry” debuts at No. 2 while Drake “Hotline Bling” slips to No. 3 after peaking at No. 2.
