Blues Legend B.B. King Dead At 89

Blues legend B.B. King is dead.

The legendary singer died on Thursday at his home in Las Vegas, according to the family attorney and his daughter Patty King.

Details surrounding his death were not released but King was hospitalized last month for dehydration. He was diagnosed with diabetes over 30 years ago.

B.B. King is widely regarded as the King of the Blues with a career spanning six decades and 15 Grammy awards. In 1987 he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

In 1970 King released one of his biggest hits to date “The Thrill Is Gone.” He toured almost nonstop for the sixty years of his career only stopping later last year due to his health and age.

Several celebrities took to Twitter to express their condolences for B.B. King’s passing.
