Hot Chocolate Singer Errol Brown Dead At 71

Errol Brown, who is famous for being the lead singer in the band Hot Chocolate, is dead.

Brown died from a long battle with liver cancer at his home in the Bahamas, according to BBC.

In the 1970s he had one of the catchiest singles “You Sexy Thing” which went on to be featured in “The Full Monty” in 1997 and made the UK charts that same year. The band Hot Chocolate also recording another big hit “Every 1’s a Winner.”

“Errol Brown MBE passed away in The Bahamas this morning with his wife Ginette and daughters Colette and Leonie by his side of liver cancer,” Brown’s manager, Phil Dale, said in a statement.

“Errol was a lover of life and obviously ‘music!’ I never went into his home, car or a hotel room without music playing,” he continues. “Errol was a ‘Gentle Man’ and was a personal friend of mine who will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him.”
