Vybz Kartel Murder Case: Jurors Pre-Planned Verdict And Host Party To Celebrate

More details are beginning to surfaced surrounding the controversial guilty verdict in Vybz Kartel’s high profile murder case.

Accused corrupt juror Livingston Cain was back in the Jamaican high court last week for his ongoing trial on charges to pervert the course of justice after he allegedly tried to bribe the jury forewoman and other members.

Cain’s defense attorney Valerie Neita-Robertson grilled one female witness, who was also a member of the jury, on Friday asking her if the guilty verdict was pre-planned.

The juror denied the allegation but Neita-Robertson pressed her further on whether or not a party was being organized by jurors to celebrate the verdict at Port Royal in Kingston.

Neita-Robertson also suggested that her client Livingston Cain had voiced his opinion on the pre-planned verdict and threatened to report other jurors to the judge.

Cain was arrested on the day of the verdict and charged with one count of attempting to pervert the course of justice and five counts of perverting the course of justice. The juror has maintained his innocence.

If found guilty he could be sentenced to up to two years in prison.

Vybz Kartel is appealing his conviction.
