Vybz Kartel former manager and business partner Corey Todd was shot and injured in a robbery attempt early Thursday morning.
The incident took place outside the Taboo Night Club in Montego Bay, St James. The club is owned and operated by Corey Todd.

An eyewitness told Urban Islandz that the businessman/promoter was in the process of closing the club at approximately 5 a.m. Thursday morning when two armed gunmen tried to robbed him.
An off duty cop who was a part of Todd’s security detail challenged the two men where one was shot and killed.
Todd is currently hospitalized in stable condition while cops are investigating the incident.
Corey Todd was a business partner of dancehall star Vybz Kartel before he became incarcerated. But the two fell out after their relationship went south.
Corey Todd also recently partnered with dancehall artist Konshens on a new line of sneakers. But they too parted ways after their relationship went south.
These days Corey Todd is focused on promoting shows and managing nightclubs like Taboo and Quad nightclub.
