Reggae Grammy: Sean Paul, Shaggy, Ziggy Marley For Best Reggae Album

Sean Paul, Shaggy and Ziggy Marley are among six nominations for the 2015 Reggae Grammy. Soja is the only international artists to be nominated for Best Reggae Album.

Last week the 2015 Grammy nominees were announced which includes the category for Best Reggae Album.

Ziggy Marley got nominated for his landmark album Fly Rasta. Sean Paul was given a nod for Full Frequency, Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry for Back On The Controls, Shaggy for Out Of Many, One Music, Sly & Robbie & Spicy Chocolate for The Reggae Power, and Soja for Amid The Noise And Haste.

The is the first nomination for U.S. based reggae band Soja whose album Amid The Noise And Haste was produced by famed Jamaican producer Dwayne ‘Supa Dups’ Chin-Quee.

Ziggy Marley copped the 2015 Grammy for Best Reggae Album for his album Ziggy Marley in Concert. He has previously won five Grammys, three times as the lead singer of the band Melody Makers.

Both Shaggy and Sean Paul have previously won Grammy’s their albums Boombastic and Dutty Rock respectively.

    • yes but technically ;chronixx release was an EP-not an album so its probably why he wasnt nominated cuz , dear Lord he deserves everyting under the sun for that masterpiece
