Reggae Reacts To John Holt’s Death

The reggae community is reacting to the death of veteran singer John Holt.

Holt passed away yesterday at a hospital in London. He was in the UK touring when he fell ill.

Ub40, Shaggy and Sean Paul are among some icons in reggae who paid tribute to John Holt on social media.

Shaggy full statement: “WE HAVE LOST A LEGEND!!! RIP JOHN HOLT! Very instrumental part of our reggae history! You’ll be missed … Thank you for the legacy and the great music. The 1st number one reggae billboard hit was “tide is high” by blondie .. Written by John holt!”
