Vybz Kartel Trial: Juror Stalled Case

There will be no court session in Vybz Kartel high profile murder trial in the Home Circuit court today.

Last week the judge instructed jurors to return to court on Thursday of this week, after one juror will miss court for medical reasons.

The said juror will also be absent from court tomorrow and Wednesday is a public holiday in Jamaica.

On Thursday, Justice Lennox Campbell will issue jury instructions before sending off the 11 jurors to deliberate and return a verdict.

Vybz Kartel, born Adidja Palmer, Shawn “Storm” Campbell, Kahira Jones, André St John, and Shane Williams are jointly charged for the murder of their former associate Clive “Lizard” Williams.

The Crown says Williams was beaten to death by the accused men on August 16, 2011 at the dancehall star’s house in Havendale.

Authorities says he was killed over two missing firearms owned by Kartel.

His body has yet to be found.

  6. Not surprised, it’s almost like a game or strings are being pulled behind the scenes. How hard is it to come to a conclusion. JA police is scared to lose face if he is found not guilty.
