Since Tuesday of this week the judge cleared the courtroom of everyone including the media and the jury. This will go on until Friday when former Jamaica Constabulary Force’s Cybercrime Unit head, Patrick Linton, testimony is scheduled to be wrapped up.

The cybercrime cop has been giving testimony behind closed doors since last week. He told the court that his testimony could have national security implications.

Judge Lennox Campbell ordered jurors back to court on Friday at 10 a.m.

The judge will rule on what aspect of his testimony will be admitted into evidence. Justice Campbell appealed to jurors for their patience with the case.

The judge told the jurors in court today that he will take steps to not inconvenience them any further.

Vybz Kartel, born Adidja Palmer, is on trial for the alleged murder of Clive “Lizard” Williams. His protege Shawn “Storm” Campbell, Kahira Jones, André St John, and Shane Williams are also jointly charged for Williams’ murder.

According to authorities, Williams was beaten to death on August 16, 2011 at a house in Havendale, St. Andrew.

Police say he was murdered over a missing firearm belonging to Vybz Kartel.

Police never found his body.
