TLC’s Former Manager Pebbles Suing VH1 Over Biopic

There is at least one person who is not happy about the TLC biopic “CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story” released on VH1 last month.

The 1990s girl hip-hop group’s former manager Perri “Pebbles” Reid is suing the network for damages claiming that she was wrongly portrayed in the movie.

Reid told TMZ that she is extremely upset about the film and her attorneys have already send legal docs to VH1 demanding a retraction.

“This unprovoked attack has been extremely upsetting to me and my family,” Pebbles said. “CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story” contains “many false and defamatory statements and scenes about me.”

The movie portrayed Pebbles as a parasite who swindled millions of dollars from the group in the 1990s and left them broke.

CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story rocked up huge ratings for VH1 with over 4 million viewers tuning in to watch the original film on its debut.

Perri “Pebbles” Reid is a singer/songwriter who was married to music executive LA Reid. The two have two kids and are now divorced.
