Best-selling author Tom Clancy is dead.
According to reports, Clancy’s publisher confirmed the news on Wednesday but did not revealed the cause of his death.
“I’m deeply saddened by Tom’s passing,” said Penguin executive David Shanks in a statement. “He was a consummate author, creating the modern-day thriller, and was one of the most visionary storytellers of our time. I will miss him dearly and he will be missed by tens of millions of readers worldwide.”
Tom Clancy is the author of “The Hunt for Red October” and “Patriot Games” which became huge blockbuster films.
Tom Clancy was age 66 at the time of his death.
