Diddy, Jay-Z Tops Forbes Hip-Hop Cash King 2013 List

Diddy is back at the top of Forbes hip-hop Cash King list for 2013.

The hip-hop mogul raked in a whopping $50 million in the last 12 months thanks to his deal with Diageo’s Ciroc vodka, his Sean John clothing line and his Bad Boy Records label.

Diddy is lucky to be the first hip-hop star to reach a billion dollars. He will be launching his new cable channel Revolt this fall via Time Warner and Comcast.

Jay-Z came in a number two with $43 million thanks to touring, a new album, his Roc Nation label and management firm, deals with Armand de Brignac champagne, and D’Ussé cognac.

Dr. Dre, who topped the list last year, came in a number three with $40 million thanks to the success of his Beats by Dre headphones.
