Jamaican Broadcaster Wayne White Sentenced To 14 Years In Prison

Jamaican boadcaster Wayne Whyte will serve a total of 14 years in prison for an attacked on another female broadcaster Jody-Ann Gray last year.

In April of 2012, Whyte made headline after he was arrested and charged with attempted murder.

According to police report, Whyte and another man, Safari Farr, attacked Jody-Ann Gray on April 4 at her home in Cedar Grove in Portmore, St Catherine.

Both men pleaded guilty to charges of wounding with intent and illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.

A judge sentence them each to 14 years on the charge of wounding with intent, 10 years for illegal possession of a firearm, and 5 years for the ammunition.

The sentence will run concurrently.
