Lauryn Hill Escape Prison Temporarily, Given More Time To Pay Tax

Legendary hip-hop star Lauryn Hill escape prison at least temporarily when she appeared in court yesterday for her sentencing hearing.

The former Fugee singer had her sentencing delayed two more weeks to give her more time to cough up a chunk of her almost a million dollar tax debt.

According to TMZ, Hill’s attorney told the judge she recently signed a million-dollar recording deal with Sony and will also be taking out a loan of $650,000 to put towards her $968,000 tax bill.
