Marley Beverage Launches “Marley’s Music Rising” To Celebrate Bob’s Birthday

On Wednesday February 6, Bob Marley would have celebrated his 68th birthday if he was alive.

As part of his birthday celebration, Marley Beverage Company has announced that it is partnering with Sonicbids to launch the “Marley’s Music Rising” contest.

The year-long competition will search for reggae’s next big band influenced bu Bob Marley’s music. It will include a series of live performances, as well as, online.

“One of our father’s strongest principles was the ideal that we should all give back and provide opportunities where they would otherwise not exist,” Cedella Marley said.

“I think he would be proud of ‘Marley’s Music Rising’ and its goal to give voice to a new generation of performers who are inspired by the music he loved,” said Grammy award winner Stephen Marley.

The grand prize is a recording session at the legendary Tuff Gong Studio in Kingston.

Founder and CEO of Sonicbids, Panos Panay, also shared his excitement about partnering with Marley Beverage Company.
