Konshens, Vybz Kartel, Tifa Biggest Winners At Youth View Awards 2013

This year’s Jamaica Youth View Awards saw many big winners and many looser.

Some of the biggest names in the Jamaican entertainment industry gathered at the National Indoor Sports Complex in Kingston on Saturday night for the awards show.

But it was dancehall star Konshens who took home the most awards.

Konshens took home the award for Favourite Local Artiste Male, beating out stiff competition from the likes of Vybz Kartel and Tommy Lee. Female dancehall star Tifa also won that award for the female category.

Konshens also took home the award for Favourite Collaboration for his single Siddung featuring Darrio.

Despite being behind bars for over a year now, Vybz Kartel won the night’s biggest award, the Male Artiste of the Year.

Jamaican media personality and close friend of Vybz Kartel, Amelia ‘Milk’ Sewell accepted the award for the incarcerated dancehall star.

Among the top winners also include I-Octane, Tommy Lee, Sean Paul and more.

Voicemail and Cherine Anderson brought some much needed entertainment to the event. While Reggae legend Bob Marley received an heart felt tribute at the awards.
