The album which was released by Atlantic Records, debut at number two on the Billboard reggae chart before falling two places in the last week to move to number four. The album, however, failed to make a mark on the Billboard 200 chart.

To date Tomahawk Technique is Sean Paul’s lowest selling album after releasing two platinum selling LPs in recent years.

Sean Paul’s biggest selling album, Dutty Rock, released in 2002, sold 65,000 copies in its first week of release and went on to sell over 2 million copies in the United States and over 4 million worldwide.

That album sold more than four million copies and produced several Billboard charting singles including “Give It Up To Me,” featuring Keyshia Cole “Temperature,” and “We Be Burning.”

Tomahawk Technique which was released in Europe earlier this year spar better sales result in that market. The single “Got 2 Luv U” featuring Alexia Jordan and “How Deep Is Your Love,” featuring Kelly Rowland also charted in several European territories including the U.K.
