Usain Bolt Is The Greatest Sprinter Of All Time

Usain Bolt is a living legend.

Usain Bolt achieved his goal on Thursday night when he took home the gold medal in the 200 meter finals at the 2012 London Olympic Games.

Bolt silence his critics when he stops the clock at 19.32 seconds to leave everyone in the dust. But what made the moment even more special was that the Jamaican team finished second and third taking home the silver and bronze medals.

“For me, that was for all the doubters, all the people saying I wasn’t going to win. They can stop talking now, I’m a legend,” Usain Bolt said after celebrating his win.

“I’ve got nothing left to prove. I’ve showed the world I’m the best,” Bolt added.

International Olympic Committee President Jacques Rogge thinks Bolt is not yet a legend. A few hours before the 200 meter finals, Rogge said it’s too early to make such determinations.

“The career of Usain Bolt has to be judged when the career stops,” said Rogge.

“Let him participate in three, four games, and he can be a legend. Already he’s an icon,” Rogge added.

This statement comes from the same person who criticized Usain Bolt four years ago at the Beijing Olympics for slapping his chest before he crossed the finish line in the 100 meter final.

But Bolt is not concern about his critics, he is already a legend. Bolt is the first sprinter to win the sprint double in consecutive Olympic Games. He currently holds world records in the 100, 200 and 4X100 meter relay. He also holds the junior record in the 200 meter.

  3. Yes he is a legend! Only that he is running with guys that are so good too; you may not easily realize he is doing something so unique. Imagine in 100m final every one except injured asafa powel finished in 9 seconds just like the winner! And u sure know Asafa was likely to finish btn 1-3 coz he had d best start of all had it not been injury!
