50 Cent Samples Sizzla’s Classic “Solid As A Rock” [Audio]

G-Unit rapper 50 Cent is the latest mega hip-hop star to sample a reggae/dancehall classic.

The rap mogul used the intro of Sizzla’s classic “Solid As A Rock” on his latest single “You Will Never Take My Crown,” off his new mixtape Murder By Numbers.

Sizzla released the chart topping single “Solid As A Rock” in 2002 off his LP “Da Real Thing.” The single remains one of Sizzla Kalonji’s biggest hits of his career.

Before 50 Cent, his rap rival Ja Rule also sampled the single in 2003 on his track called “The Crown.” That song was released in the height of the infamous 50 Cent and Ja Rule beef.

Will 50 Cent announce an all reggae album like Snoop Dogg? Only time will tell.
