No Ninjaman For Reggae Sumfest

Desmond Ballentine, more popularly known as Ninjaman, may not be performing at this year’s Reggae Sumfest.

As part of his bail condition, Ninjaman should not be seen on the street between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.

In addition to his strict curfew, Ninjaman says the organizers of the greatest reggae show on earth are not paying him enough to perform on dancehall night.

“It’s not a guarantee am performing at sumfest base on the agreement and the offer that they are giving me,” Ninjaman told Irie FM. “Mr Gourzong spend more than that on his dogs per month, so I can’t perform for less than what I want.”

Ninjaman and his son were released earlier this year on $2 million bail, after spending three years in jail awaiting trial on a murder charge.

His trial kicks off this summer.
