Kelly was in New York promoting his new memoir Soulacoaster: The Diary of Me and his new album Write Me Back. His sudden illness forces him to cancel his appearances on both the Today Show and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

Kelly’s current illness may have Reggae Sumfest promoters, as well as, fans a bit worried, since the platinum-selling singer was forced to cancelled his appearance on the show last year due to said throat surgery.

There is no word yet from Sumfest promoters on whether or not there is a contingency plan should the singer pull out of the event.
