Justin Bieber’s legal troubles are far from over. Bieber allegedly assaulted a photographer over the weekend, who was trying to take a picture of his girlfriend Selena Gomez. The paparazzi reported got treatment at a Los Angeles hospital.
According to reports, the case will be referred to the L.A. County D.A. for possible criminal prosecution.
TMZ reported that cops have already decided to refer the case to prosecutors, even though the investigation is far from complete. They have requested to interview the Biebs, but he’s in Norway now. It’s pretty typical for police to refer high-profile cases to prosecutors.
The incident reportedly took place in Calabasas on Sunday afternoon, where the alleged assault took place. The photographer reportedly called 911 after the scuffle, before Bieber quickly leave the scene.
The pap was taken to a nearby hospital. He later filed a police report against the pop singer.
If he is convicted, Justin Bieber could spend up to 6 months in jail.
