Nicki Minaj Sophomore Roman Reloaded Debut Number, Selling 253K Copies

Nicki Minaj avoids the sophomore jinx with her album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded debuting at number one on the Billboard 200 chart.

The “Super Bass” rapper reached the number one spot after her sophomore record sold over 253000 copies in its first week of release. This is her second number one album, after her debut LP Pink Friday achieved the same success over a year ago.

The album could possibly see more success as the Harajuku Barbie is preparing to release the highly anticipated video for her hit single “Starships.”

Her latest music video for her 2 Chainz assisted single “Beez In The Trap,” which was release last week, is getting rave reviews from fans.
