Embattled dancehall star Vybz Kartel was this week slapped with additional charges in his ongoing murder case.
Kartel, whose real name is Adidja Palmer, and his protege Gaza Slim was jointly charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice.
Vanessa Sadler, Gaza Slim’s government name, was remanded into custody when she appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court this week to answer to the charge.
Police officers also revealed that they are searching for a third person known by the alias ‘Pim Pim’ in relation to the same charge.
According to police report, on October 29, Saddler filed a police report that she had been robbed by Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams, one of the men Vybz Kartel allegedly murdered.
Police said they later found out that it was an attempt to pervert the course of justice. Detectives said they have a cellular phone with a text message proving Saddler and Kartel fabricated the story.
Both Vybz Kartel and Gaza Slim are scheduled to appear in court on December 19.
