Embattled dancehall star Vybz Kartel was today denied bail when he appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court to answer to murder charges.
Kartel, whose real name is Adidja Palmer, appeared before the judge today in relation charges stemming from the murder of Barrington ‘Bossie’ Bryan.
Vybz Kartel is facing three charges in relation to the slaying of Bryan, including murder, conspiracy to murder and illegal possession of a firearm.
According to police report, Bryan, a promoter and businessman, was brutally slain earlier this year in Gregory Park, St. Catherine, while standing with a group of friends.
The judge did not immediately give her reason for refusing bail but said she would do so in 24 hours.
Vybz Kartel is schedule return to court tomorrow in relation to a second murder charge.
