Out The Gate Returns To Los Angeles For 3 Nights Only

By popular demand, Far I Films has annouced the urban action film “Out the Gate” will make it’s return engagement to Los Angeles August 11th at the Royal Theater in West Los Angeles, and continue Friday 12th and Saturday 13th at the Sunset 5 Theaters in West Hollywood. The highly anticipated return has been fueled by word of mouth and reaction to the successful Hollywood premiere of the film held last January. Following the Thursday showing will be the official after-party and live performance by E-Dee held at
Cabana Club in Hollywood.

The musically driven picture described by Filmofilia as “gritty”, stars two of Jamaica’s brightest stars, Paul Campbell (Shottas, Dancehall Queen, First Sunday) and Oliver Samuels (Oliver at Large), as well as american actress Shelli Boone (BET, Holla) and rising dancehall artist Everton (E-Dee) Dennis, who also co-wrote the script. Based on events from real life, the picture follows Everton who after tragedy in his home in Jamaica, leaves for America to make it in the entertainment business. Everton’s performance has been described as “…mesmerizing” by KeeTV, and fans have responded to the well rounded story with a triumphant ending.

The motion picture thrilled New York audiences this spring in the first multi-theater opening of a Jamaican picture in decades, resulting in a #13 ranking at the box office per screen average out of 212 movies playing in theaters its opening weekend, resulting in the film being held over at AMC in the Bronx for a 2nd week. Campbell’s
gripping performance as “Badz” the don of LA, had audiences on the edge of their seats and the most common response by fans after seeing the movie is “when is Part 2 coming”?

The film, shot on location in Clarendon, Jamaica and Los Angeles, directed by the Village Brothers, and produced by Jamaican/American production company Far I Films, continues on later this month in Atlanta before moving to Jamaica, Miami, and Toronto.
