Katy Perry, Kanye West, Adele leads 2011 MTV Video Music Awards

Katy Perry leads the 2011 MTV Video Music Award Nominations with 9 nods, with singer Adele and rapper Kanye West comes in second with 7 nods each.

Katy is presently nominated for Best Pop Video, Best Collaboration, Best Direction, Best Special Effects and the coveted Video of the Year award.

Adele captures nominations for Best Female Video and Best Pop Video for her highly acclaimed hit Rolling In the Deep.

Kanye West’s 7 nods comes in large part to his collaboration with Katy Perry when they joined forces for E.T. Kanye also received nominations for Best Male Video and Best Collaboration for “All of the Lights” featuring Rihanna and Kid Cudi.

Rihanna managed to collect four for features in Kanye West’s All Of The Lights and Eminem’s Love The Way You Lie.
