Hundreds of New Yorkers and visitors to the city moved in sync to the rhythms of Jamaica last week Monday as they took part in a flash mob organised by the Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) and Flash Mob America.
The Jamaica flash mob was part of special activities last week to mark the 30th anniversary of the passing of reggae music legend Bob Marley.
For the event, held at New York City’s Union Square, Ziggy Marley released a special island-themed remix of ‘Jamaica In My Head’, from his upcoming album, ‘Wild and Free’.
A throng of more than 200 moved to a choreographed routine that included the ‘Bolt to the World’ signature dance moves of Jamaica’s Usain Bolt, the world’s fastest sprinter.
