Kid Cudi Debuts New Band Name And New Label

Lonely Stoner Kid Cudi has announced that he has changed his band name to 2 Be Continuum, with plans to release the group’s debut via his newly established imprint Wicked Awesome Records.

Cudi revealed the news last week during a performance at New York City’s Roseland Ballroom.

“Basically it’s just me and Dot,” he explained. “I’ve only been playing guitar for nine months but the records are fing epic, epic. I’m really psyched. We’re going to have that first single for you soon. Y’all ready for that?”

Cudder first unveiled the project in January 2011 after reviving his Twitter account, explaining that he was hoping to have the album out by the summer.

“I never thought I could play an instrument. I always downplayed that sh-t,” he said during a listening session for his sophomore album Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager. “It was like learning how to read sheet music. F**k that! That’s like learning how to read again!”
