Shaggy Talks His Charitable Ambitions And Commercial Success [Video]

Apart from the likes of Bob Marley, Shaggy is perhaps the most commercially successful reggae artist.

Shaggy, who is the recipient of this year’s Friends Of Jamaica award, told Peter Bailey of NBC Nitecap that his involvement with charity in Jamaica is by “chance.”

“Everything is by accident, its just shared emotions, I don’t think you being a person with any kind of conscience, could see what I saw and did nothing about it,” Shaggy disclosed.

Shaggy is the brain behind the Shaggy and Friends concert, which has drawn international stars such as Boys to Men and Macy Gray to the shores of Jamaica.

Shaggy also discussed his collaborations with Pitbull and his commercial success as a reggae artist.
